This Saturday began as usual with a 10am Mass in, what we must now call, the extraordinary form of the Roman rite.
After Mass we waited until 11 and then printed off the copies of the Motu Proprio from the web. Here you see some of the faithful taking it in.

The issue of nomenclature is an interesting one. I wonder whether the epxressions "Traditional Latin Mass" and "Novus Ordo" will survive Summorum Pontificum?
I am not too taken with the use of 'ordinary' and 'extraordinary' for everyday use. 'There will be a Mass on Tuesday at 7pm using the Extraordinary Expression of the Lex Orandi' doesn't exactly trip off the tongue.
My own suggestion would be to follow the wording of Art. 2: 'Mass using the Missal of Blessed John XXIII' or 'Mass using the Missal of Paul VI'.
I am sure these could be shortened for those who understand to a "BJ23" or a "P6".
One thing seems clear from Summorum Pontificum: priests who celebrate Mass using the second confiteor (or third, depending on how you count) are going to have to stop doing so. It is simply not part of a BJ23.
