The Coronation of the Virgin icons

The next stage of the icons for St Mary`s are nearly ready. Sr Petra Clare has sent me these pictures which show something of the work and stages of preparation. We were hoping that they would be here for the Feast of the Assumption. Sadly that didn`t happen but we are promised that they will be here for the end of the month.

The icons look promising. Perhaps September 8th might be the next most suitable date for their solemn unveiling?

They look very impressive & will make such a difference to the 'sanctuary' at St Mary's.

Surely the term is 'writing', not 'drawing', an icon...

Well you`ll need to tell Sr Petra Clare that: those were the captions she provided.

The caption was drawing_christ.jpg. Make of it what you will! It could be meant to be a noun rather than a participle.

It was Sr Petra Clare who told me that...

what i see is magnificent. I myself am an iconographer. I am studying under a teacher who is with a school of iconographer. Is there someway to correspond with sister? I assume she is the writer? donadieu83@aol.com Fr. Gregory
