A little late for the feast of the Transfiguration but I`ve just come across this tonight on the Vatican News website. I thought it was rather good and hope we hear more from Mgr Whitmore.
Thank you Father. Food for the inner ears and eyes. Mgr Whitmore, as I'm sure a lot of people know, seems to be the only Mgr with an English accent who occasionally does the English 'porte-parole' duty at General Audiences.
Fr. Philip will be making music in Canterbury next week (13th - 20th July), as chaplain of Spode Music Week. Memorable contributions from previous years include the Beethoven triple concerto (piano) and his lecture on the Classical Cadenza (about which he wrote the book). He's a pretty mean fiddler, too.

Mgr used to accompany me in clarinet pieces at the English College c. 1990-2.
