In fact it is based on nothing but ignorance of VII.<br />I would suggest that that is why your accusers having nothing to say: they are ignorant of what the Council actually taught. The Holy Father is right in this Year of Faith to encourage us to revisit these, and then, perhaps, respond with an informed opinion.<br /><br />I suppose that in the time-line of councils, and when compared to Nicea and Trent, Vatican II provided no doctrinal changes.
